Belly Rub

Have you ever noticed how pregnant women are always touching their bellies? I sure have and had come to think of it as obsessive. And then I became pregnant myself and now I love holding onto my belly. I think of it as the baby more than my belly and to be honest it’s a pretty amazing process going on in there. Even so as I sit on the couch, sifting through my email and, without thinking about it, lifting up my shirt so I can rub my belly, I have to laugh at my own maternal silliness, especially since my belly looks more flabby than pregnant! Apparently the baby is going through a growth spurt this week and will be doubling in size and weight in the next few weeks, which means there will be more to touch!

By the way, this post isn’t an invite to touch my belly. I hear that strangers love grabbing pregnant women’s bellies. I think I’m going to loathe that if it happens to me.

I only havea tiny bump and I rub my tummy also.  I always thought of all the things I would do to people if they touched my stomach, but when it happens you just stand there hating it and walk away.  ugh

Katie, I may not be able to resist a quick little belly grab when you’re here. But I promise I won’t linger on the belly, I’ll just do the drive-by version. LOL!! XO

What was that you said? You want me to randomly touch your belly? Done and done.
