And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

John Steinbeck

It’s been a big week around here. And we’re entering a big weekend with lots of partying because my man is turning the big 2-4 on Monday.

Here’s what we’ll be up to (in case you care):
Saturday: Dinner at McNeills. Sea of yorkshire pudding.
Sunday: Dinner with Muirheads. Um, ham and cake.
Monday: (the big day) breakfast of eggs benedict and gift opening (squeal! I can’t wait!)

And next week, we’re heading out to Montreal (another squeal!). Our flight leaves Calgary at 1 AM Tuesday morning so I have a feeling that our first day there is going to be a little rough especially for me. Imagine a person who, as a child, begged her mommy to let her take a nap at 4pm daily only to be denied, yes imagine that child all grown up and getting on a plane at 1 AM only to get off at 5:30ish AM (or 7:30ish AM in Montreal) and make it through the day without being grouchy or a zombie. If you’re thinking what I’m thinking than you are thinking, impossible. And, I’m so sorry for Conor. Or you’re thinking that I’m setting myself up for failure.

Please cross your fingers, toes, arms and legs for us! Send us all your luck! I need a green card. And fortunately I think Heavenly Father knows I need one too. Still, prayers are welcome!

I am so excited for you guys, it has been a long process for you guys to get to this point.  Have fun, tell Conor happy birthday.

Kristen

Good things follow sacrifice, such as true red eye flights.  Good luck on the green card!  And happy birthday Conor.
Also, I don’t know if you saw my blog post, but our Relief Society did an overnight last weekend at a cabin in Breckenridge.  There were several conversations about you and Conor and when you get to come back.  Sarah Jean Watterson was filling us in on all you have to do!  You are missed and we’re looking forward to having you back!

Katie

Wow, thanks so much for letting me know that Kristen. Now I feel even more like I’m coming home!
