And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

It’s that time of year again… CANNING! After two days of picking crabapples followed by hours of chop chop chopping, we are now onto juice. There is still more chopping to go and more picking to go however the juice has thus far come out more beautiful and more red than it did last year. Gorgeous. I quite enjoy the colour! I have discovered that I like the juice warm, like crabapple cider. With a stick of cinnamon, it’s divine.

I’m excited to see what Colorado has to offer in terms of canning. I value the art of canning. Last year we did peaches and crabapple preserves. This year it’s just crabapple juice and perhaps some peach sauce for dinners. I fully intend on having at least one crabapple tree in my yard (when I get a yard) and canning will be a Muirhead family tradition!

I’ve really enjoyed the crabapple juice this past year, so I’m excited about this new batch of canning. Keep up the great work.

Wow I hadn’t heard you guys were doing that! AWESOME! Please remember us down here in Lethbridge – not a crabapple tree in sight so I’d love to sample. /images/smileys/icon_smile.gif
XO!! Is Mom really canning? Her back must be feeling much better!
