As I was recovering from a most gruesome wisdom tooth experience, I sewed. I’m not even going to count the number of jaws that just hit the floor. What else was I supposed to do when I felt tired and a little crummy? I had to feel productive in some way. I made a jacket, McCalls 5530. It turned out great and I’m really happy with it. I lengthened it by 2 inches (thank goodness!) and I wish I had done bound button holes, but you don’t see the button holes anyways. A couple of the markings were confusing, but alas I figured it out! Do you like it?

13 Sep, 2008It’s super cute! I’ve been thinking about trying out a jacket, myself! The “light” jacket that I’ve had since I was in high school just isn’t cutting it anymore – the style is all wrong! Where did you find your fabric? It’s gorgeous!
