I started sewing for spring and summer and then Denver received a load of snow so I reverted to wool herringbone that I had on hand and the pattern, lining, notions, etc that I also had stashed. I think the dress turned out super cute and I’m glad I took the time to sew ‘er up.
But I couldn’t be more ready for spring! I bought a handful of patterns this past weekend and am ready to sew my hands off. So ready for colour and florals.

I am looking forward to sun and long days, soft breezes with a hint of rain, crocuses, dandylions, and sparrows fighting for nesting material. Soft green grass and the smell of trees that blossom. Fishcreek being full and turbulent, a good hard rain that washes away all traces of winter. Robins hopping around my garden looking for worms….. And sun, sun and more sun.
