And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

So I’m on 6th with Conor, the last leg of our journey to church, and I hear this quick ripping noise. Now we’re just barely going to make it in time for primary (primary is first this year in our ward) and my slit just ripped so that I’m feeling rather exposed and immodest. I made this dress and didn’t realize the slit would be so high and so I had done a quick hand sew to get it up to snuff. But that wasn’t enough, especially when walking for a good 30 minutes. I felt really embarrassed! And to top it all off I thought I had forgotten to wear a slip because it had hiked itself up and was bunched around my waist. It was rather traumatizing. In the end I scurried to the bathroom when we arrived at our chapel (the hallway wasn’t quite as clear as I was hoping) and adjusted everything so I wouldn’t be a bad example. Oi! The good part about the outfit: Conor LOVES it!

Sorry, the pattern did not photograph well. While we’re on it, anyone else have an embarrassing Sabbath experience that they’d like to share with the group? You can always just share you sympathies with me.

Cute jumper. My most embarassing Sabbath moment was years ago in Grade 12 while attending a fireside on the north side. After the hearing from the guest speaker we were downstairs visiting and eating the munchies. I was leaning up against a bifold door with one of those little doorknobs when my girlfiend started to tickle me. I moved quickly to the side to get away from her, but the seat of my pants got caught on the doorknob and ripppppp! The entire back of my pants ripped open. I backed up against the wall right away and turned bright red. Luckily I was also wearing a sweater, so I took it off and wrapped it around my waist to cover things up. But very embarassing!!!!

I love the jumper, that second shot is HOT! /images/smileys/icon_smile.gif
Sorry to hear about the wardrobe malfunction. I recall the first day of church in our new ward down here in “Windy-ville” I was wearing a full skirt.

Hint…

70 km/hour Wind + Full Skirt = full moon!
Yep nuff said! /images/smileys/icon_smile.gif Love ya!

Katie

I feel relieved to know that I’m not the only one who has felt horrendously embarrassed. D, I would’ve thought your moment would have been a Marilyn Monroe moment. lol. I’m sure you looked fab.
