This post shall be about a couple of food confessions that haven’t necessarily occurred since my 20th birthday but since I’m 20 and confessing it… you get my drift! And this divulgence about FOOD. I like… mushrooms and mustard is starting to grow on me. You definitely won’t see me at the next Rockies game with a mustard slathered hot dog but I do enjoy a little bit of extra zing that mustard can bring. And mushrooms… I always thought that edible fungus is a little bogus but hey my taste buds have obviously grown up! I haven’t ventured far enough to pop a raw one into my mouth (some things I have to ease myself into), but I do really like to cook with them. The little peeks into my life are surely shocking and will continue to amaze indefinitely as I reveal more and more about my life as a 20-year old!

PS: a tip I recently absorbed about mushrooms; you aren’t supposed to wash them before using them. You can wipe off excess dirt, but because mushrooms are so absorbent, they will suck up a portion of the washing water like a small sponge and therefore less of the flavour of the meal.
