And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

This morning kind of felt like a choreagraphed dance getting Conor out the door. He and I woke up late this morning. I made lunch, etc and then I had to pass him everything as he walked out the door: jacket, backpack, collared shirt, binder, house key, kiss… I feel a little suprised that everything made it with him! Surprised and impressed. I’m a little glad it’s over! Ha!

Yesterday, we went to the temple. We met with the temple president, President Brown, about serving there. As it turns out every Wednesday morning 7 – 10:30, we’ll be serving in the cafeteria/dining hall. And then we can go to the 11 o’clock session. We were set apart too, which is something we didn’t see coming! After that, we had a chance to do sealings and then a session. I’m really glad for this oppurtunity! I think it’ll be great to go to the temple every week. It makes me grateful we came to Colorado. In no way could we do this if we were in Calgary. I think this is just such a great oppurtunity! Plus when I have children, going to the temple will be near to impossible especially since I plan on just keeping ‘em coming until we get to at least six (that is if we can ever get to just one). I’ll still be able to go here and there, but obviously not as often as I’d like. So I’m excited to get really familiar with the endowment. I’m really feeling blessed!

Today is a busy “to do” day before I hit up the office at 4 pm. Laundry, groceries, bread, tidying, etc are on the list! Because I don’t have any way of getting american money myself, I have to ask Conor for money. “Conor can I have some money to buy groceries?” It’s a funny thing more than anything! So I get the checking card today!

What a great opportunity! I kinda think of serving inthe temple as a more older persons job/priveledge, so that is great that you are able to break the mold. I am sure you will love it. Talk about an answer to prayers. This service i am sure will bring some of the tranquility and calm that you guys have been missing so much with your busy schedule down there.
Well enjoy I am excited for you! love you and miss you both!

Hey Katie,

I am just loving that you blog- its great hearing about the day to dayof your lives.  How wonderful for you to be ‘livin’ the dream’ and getting to be a temple worker at such a young age.  Bet you’ll bring the blush of youth and a smile to a lot of wrinkled faces just by being there. And you are SO right about how challenging it is to manage getting to the temple once the babies start.

Nicole’s idea is a good one, don’t you think?  Especially the close to home part!

Love You Kiddo!

Katie – wonderful to read about your dreams and aspirations and your amazing daily life.
I’ve been reading an incredible book these days and I recommend it to you and Little-C: The Success Principles: Getting from where you are to where you want to be. By Jack Canfield.
It is revolutionizing my life and will be dramatic over the next 1 2 and 5 years.
