And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

Dear Friend (you know who you are),

I’d really rather that you didn’t find a job. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really proud of you for having so many interviews, but really? I know things can be tight and I know you really, really like cardigans and that you l-o-v-e Target, but wouldn’t you rather bake cupcakes, go for walks, and brainstorm very weakly with me? As much as I’d like you to get a job, I’d prefer it if you wouldn’t. What will happen to our late night Ticket to Ride games? Who would I talk to about the weird things in life? Why don’t we just take a class together at Fancy Tiger instead?

Thank you for taking me into consideration.

Sincerely,
Katie

Aww I hope this works.

Do you really think I want to have a job? Not unless it’s blogging and eating cupcakes. Why don’t you sew pretty things and sell them then give me the profits?
