Last night the Muirheads celebrated a big birthday (my mother-in-law turned 29!) and we had a lot of fun! We started the night off at a dance lesson at Eau Claire Market downtown. We danced the Mamba and Salsa – very sexy. Between dancing and dinner we had some time to spare leaving us all a little camera happy. A lot of photos were taken, mostly by Elizabeth. We also went to the candy store at Eau Claire and stocked up on some overly priced classic favourites. Dinner at the Keg was delicious however I could hardly eat any of it! Oh what a night!

Friday and Saturday I managed to crank out a vintage-style dress for the event. I often wonder why I do these marathon sews since I feel ridiculously psychotic in the last 2-3 hours. The dress did turn out lovely and I’m pleased with it even though I need to spend another few hours with it.
