I dream of having a kitchen table. After eating at the counter on bar stools in our apartment in Glendale, a table would be rather refreshing. I envision center pieces and what kind of table I would want. There is one table complete with 4 chairs at ikea that Conor and I wouldn’t say no to (we also wouldn’t say no to the price!), however I wouldn’t back away from something that makes a statement. At Crate & Barrel I remember seeing a gorgeous table that was cottagey and warm and screams home-cooked meals! I see that table with a bench on one side and chairs that are mis-matched yet united in the feel they promote. I’m talking vintage and earthy. If anyone has been to Anthropologie they will understand! In a magazine, I noticed some vintage chairs and although you must purchase them in the store (on the other side of the country) they still give the feel of what I would like. It’s from a company called Honeybunch.

You can visit the website and take a peruse although be forewarned, this is a site marketed for parents aka, lots of children stuff, well mainly children stuff. Anyways, I love the look of antique and flea market items. I can’t wait to seriously stroll down Broadway Street in Denver and look into millions of antique stores with purpose!

27 May, 2008We need a kitchen table too. Hendrix knows how to climb the barstools now and gets to the sink…it’s the worst!
