It’s been a while since my last blog, I know.
The bug thing has been going pretty good. Conor has been selling well and I’m still consistent when I go out. Something about me and selling: whenever I run into a really mean person, I always have this secret desire to come back to their home and egg it. Don’t get any ideas, I have never, I repeat NEVER, egged a house before. I’ve never even toilet papered a house. Fortunately just wishing I could is usually enough revenge for me.
It’s really exciting to see Conor be successful. He’s really found his groove (knock on wood – I want him to have a good day today!). He is always coming home and telling me this and that about a person he chatted with for some amount of time. It’s kind of funny!
So many things are different here than in Calgary. For example, the variety of license plates is off the hook! We’re talking every kind of plate possible. The most common ones are the green and white ones as well as the “Respect Life” plates (in memory of Columbine). The flashier plates are: collector vehicle plates, bronco plates, handicapped plates, truck or tractor plates, and military plates. Some of these plates are the best. For example there are ones that say “Honourably discharged veteran” or “disabled discharged veteran.” There are also “Purple Heart,” “National Guard” and “Former Prisoner of War” plates. It’s really hardcore eh! When Conor and I first arrived here, we were laughing over all the license plates. And I still do. It just cracks me up. Oh and then there are license plates for a couple of the universities, including alumni plates. Man am I ever glad Alberta has just one. It’s boring but it’s definitely not ridiculous like it is here! Holy smokes.
