I wish someone could’ve been here with me this morning when the Canadian Post van pulled up and actually stopped in front of the house. As soon as I saw the vehicle, my pulse increased slightly and when it stopped… well you get the story. I wanted to keep cool, but as soon as the doorbell rang I was there, signing and printing my name and accepting an unusually long box. I quickly grabbed scissors, removed the packaging and brought my treasure out into the daylight. At that moment I could no longer suppress the squeal and the urge to jump up and down in excitement. And so I jumped and squealed and threw in a little dance too! My Longboard has finally arrived!! (insert wide smile and another leap of joy here) Now Conor and I both have longboards (we’re a family where each member needs his or her own item) and so we can spend the evenings practicing in front of the house and then one day, we can take our skills to the street.
