And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

It’s been a while and a surprising amount of interesting events have happened! I’m going to take a break from hand basting a quilt sandwich:

to tell all you that read my bloggity goodness about my life lately. The best occurance to report is the newest member of our little Muirhead family. I’m very excited to introduce our brand new car!

NEW CAR

NEW Car

We’ve had our ‘08 Dodge Caliber for eight whole days and absolutely love it! Lucky me, I get to drive it most of the time since I work outside of the home. It is such a dream to drive and although I was feeling uber nervous to drive it at first, I’m beginning to feel more comfortable. I am so smitten by this car. Every time I get into it, I’m amazed that we could be so fortunate to not only have such a great car but also that this car is so perfect for us! It gets pretty much the same mileage as our old Jetta and it is so roomy. LOVE it! We’re still trying to settle on a name for our Sunburst (orange-red as Brigg’s calls it) caliber. Conor likes Morris and I like Hugo. Leave a comment letting me know which name you like best.

And Conor and I are living true to the saying, “out with the old, in with the new,” and have decided to bestow upon our eldest nephew, Dylan, Conor’s ‘64 Nova. Dylan turned 14 about a month ago so we figure he’ll have time to save up and do some work on the car before he turns sweet 16 and gets his license.

NOVA

We were so excited to give Dyl the car and we can’t wait to see what he does with it!

Okay! Back to the quilt!

Dylan

You guys are the best ever.  I am so ecxited to be getting the Nova I’ve been telling my friends about it, and they thought it was awesome that I was getting my first car and they have to be paying for their first car.TEE HEE

My vote is for Hugo too! And it’s driving me crazy that I can’t see the fabric on that quilt you’re making Katie – LOL!! Post more pics soon of it so I can drool.
Loved the new car – it’s just hot! It was great to have you and Conor here for a visit. We loved every minute, and our son is over the moon about the Nova. /images/smileys/icon_smile.gif

I’m for HUgo too- fun name.

Can you show a different pic with a better view of your actual quilting?  Couldn’t tell from this one.

Glad to hear that the Nova is staying in the family.  Can’t wait to see what Dylan does with it!  (or where he stores it!)  My whole backyard view will be altered…hmm can hardly imagine it!
