And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

I was supposed to get Nike+ for my birthday a couple months ago, but something funky happened with the mail and it just fell through. So earlier this week I went out and picked one up along with an armband and a little attachment for the sensor because I can’t wear Nike shoes (besides who want Nike when there’s a brand like asics?) I was just dying to try it out but needed to give my body a little bit of a rest period since I was hurting from Wednesday’s run. Friday it was! The day I had been waiting for and happily anticipating. I was very grateful to be able to push the center button on my iPod and hear my current time, distance and pace. This Nike+ feels honestly like a dream come true! I don’t know how I ever ran without it! Downside: I didn’t calibrate the little gizmo because I thought it wouldn’t need to because it’s new (I ignored that little voice) and so when I heard that my pace was 7:53 I thought that was a little bit odd. I know my body and my limits better than that. When I was done and the distance for my run was 4.17 miles I was even more a skeptic. So after showering, I hopped into Richmond and drove the route I ran while carefully watching the speedometer. It was off by a mile! I really ran 3.2 miles (which makes a lot more sense to me). Oh well! I guess my first run will show up as incredible on the tracking system!
