And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

Oh Canada! The True North Strong and Free!
My heart longs for thee…
I miss thy long days that extend into the sweet, cool nights
Those nights that offer relief from the heat of the day
Those nights that wash cool air throughout the entire household
Those nights that allow heavy duvets and lots of blankets
I miss thee.

I miss thy grocery shopping, not only because I had a car
But due to the prices
Produce was less expensive, despite the fact it came from the USA
Oriental food lined the shelves like little huns
Birds Custard resides there (not that I like custard…)
And PC brand butter chicken and korma
And the mega pack of chocolate chips
And Fry’s cocoa…
How I miss thy flavourful fry’s
The true cocoa.
I miss thee.

I miss thy wonderful stores.
Superstore and it’s excellent selection of clothing
How I long to walk through and buy Joe clothing and accessories
H&M our time was limited. I’ll be back
Lululemon… the dreams I had as I walked through that store!
How athletic I would be, nay, how stylishly athletic I would be
I miss thee.

I miss my darling nieces and nephews.
The way their eyes light up as they say your name and run into your arms
The funny things they do
I miss the time I once got to spend with them…
I miss thee.

I miss my Canadian family.
John and his gaggle of girls and the Preference Pumpkin
Alanna and her PMS
Kimberly and her piercings
My father and his concern for me
Oh Uncle Blake I love thee!
And mother for her friendship
I dislike long-distance relationships
I miss thee.

I miss thee Canada and all that thou hath to offer.
Thy rolling prairies and the blue blue sky
Thy True mountains in the west, strong, proud and rocky
Thy passiveness and thy flag. I miss thy maple leaf
I miss thee.
