And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

Fathers’ Day. What a great day hey? I loved chatting with my dad and with Jim. There really is something special about a daddy. It’s great!!

Conor and I enjoyed our nice short weekend. We went to a mall Saturday evening. It was pretty fun! Bought a few new clothes. I never thought that I would be able to get Conor to wear anything but true blue levis. It was easier than I thought for him to change! We bought him a really great pair of jeans for a sweet price too!

On Sunday we were invited to dinner by a lady in the ward. Us as well as another couple and 2 sets of missionaries. We had this great chicken with peanut sauce! I got the recipe from her so I’m excited to have it again!

Yessterday morning, I got up before it started to get too hot and went for a run. I feel like I am paying for it today! I am so stiff! My hips are just a wreck. I kind of hobbled for the first little while that I was out of bed. I plan on going swimming this morning so that’ll help loosen things up! It always amazes me that my hips can get so sore. I don’t know why I continue to be blown away by this. I know they get sore. And I know they hurt for no good reason sometimes. When I was younger, every now and then I’d get up in the morning and just ache! And the stairs were torture! Fortunately, I do know that if I just stick with it and keep on keeping on, it’ll hurt less. Experience is a definite perk in this!

Katie Kins,

What magic are you working on Conor these days? I’m excited to hear about the switch from the Levis.:) GO CONOR you trendy man!
As for the running, I ran last night too. Dylan has volunteered to be my coach each day since the kid is insane about working out right now. He’s great at motivating me to do it. Man let me tell you, I pulled a butt muscle though and I’m not pleased about it. I’m tempted to say “it’s a real bummer” but that’s the kind of cheesy humor you’re not familiar that I use. I’ve been stretching alot today trying to get the pain to go away. Great, I just realized that now the whole family will refer to me as the pain in the butt girl. Much worse than the old lady hips don’t you think? /images/smileys/icon_smile.gif
