I really do like Relief Society. It gets sappy sometimes, but despite all that, I still like it. This morning was our Stake Enrichment Activity and wow, did Arapahoe go to town! First off, so I don’t seem too worldly and like a bottomless pit, we did some service projects; receiving blankets, newborn nighties, clothe diapers, quilt tying, etc. Now let me get to the crazy part. A “light luncheon” was served, but it wasn’t all that light. It was CATERED, which equals savoury chicken crepes followed by cinnamon apple crepes. Mmhmm! They were good (although the crepes we had in Montreal were to die for, nothing can compare to those!). Relief Society really knows how to get ‘er done! Needless to say, you will never see me intentionally miss out on an Arapahoe Stake Relief Society activity. No way Jose!
PS: I’m so going to make a few nighties for the baby!

24 Jan, 2009I am so glad you enjoyed your RS activity! We had a RS activity in our stake yesterday. Pres. Carter’s talk was excellent and he mentioned your name among others, as he talked about the blogs that he had read as he was preparing for his talk. He said how he liked the positive nature of all the blogs and how he liked all the good info in them. I enjoyed his talk very much. Our supper was very good and they had a very good turn out. not enough room in chapel for everyone which was the only draw back. They might have to split our stake if we can’t even fit a RS activity in the building!
Those nighties look really cute! let me know how they turn out.
Love you oodles!
