And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

On Wednesday, corporate paid for our office to hit up Six Flags – Elitch Gardens in downtown Denver. Conor and I managed to go in the afternoon. It was way fun. I thought it would be like Calaway Park, but it was better! It reminded me of Disney World and Universal Studios. I think we only went on about 5 rides. It was so stinking hot outside. Holy smokes. Just wanted to let everyone know that it’s supposed to be about 20 degrees (celsius) warmer here than Calgary on Sunday. HOT. Back to Six Flags. The second ride we went on was “Disaster Canyon.” Conor really wanted to go on a water ride and get wet. I hate getting wet at Theme parks. It’s something I’ve always avoided. But whatever. It was our first visit to a theme park together. It wasn’t as bad as I anticipated even though I got soaked! My shoes were sloshy for the first while. And then at the end of the night when I took off my shoes and socks, my feet were all pruney! There were a ton of roller coasters at this place. Out of the five rides we rode, 3 were roller coasters. We went on a wooden roller coaster (built in the mid 60’s). It was great. It didn’t have a ton of loops but it had a lot of dives and it was long. I think it was about 3/4 of a mile. It sure was fun! There’s a water park too. We didn’t get a chance to do that, but everyone else really liked it. It was fun to go to an office thing (and have it paid for) but then spend the entire time with just Conor. It was fantastic! I absolutely loved it!

It sounds like so much fun…in the fall when it is cooler. LOL.
