And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

I’m sure it’s just that time of the year… you know, Christmas, but I really feel like no one is taking me seriously. My blog is such a roller coaster. It’ll be a source of discussion one week and then nada the next!

Well, take me seriously on my last post. I want to tell you how much I enjoyed Stephenie Meyer’s first two books, Twilight and New Moon. I read the first twice and the second once in four and a half days. Twilight is 498 pages long and New Moon is 563 pages long. Did that matter? No. So obviously I enjoyed them. Maybe you will too. I’m dying for tomorrow because that’s when I get the third book, Eclipse!

Now, someone humour me and tell me they put the first book on hold at the library or picked it up from their local bookstore.

Mimi

Sorry Katie!  I have a stack of books I’m hoping to have time for after Christmas, but for me its sewing, wrapping, baking and general Christmas prep until then!

Katie

I said humour me. I didn’t ask for honesty.

Hi Katie!

I’m an avid reader, as are my two oldest kids. I had seen the Twilight series recommended on Chapters.ca but got a little turned off at the mention of vampires and romance (it’s listed as a kids read).

So, from your perspective, would this series be an appropriate selection for my 12 (almost 13) year-old? Your opinion may help determine whether or not she gets the set for Christmas….

Thank you for your insights!!

I’m taking you seriously, but I can’t entertain the notion of indulgent reading until after the holidays. I have WAY too much to do and 4 kids + thousands of listeners to make happy. LOL!

I am thrilled that you’re loving your books so much though, I remember when I used to read. I think I still could if I tried. /images/smileys/icon_smile.gif
