And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

John Steinbeck

Every now and then I feel like the black sheep. I’m not working or a student, nor am I a mother. So where do I fit in or do I just break the mold? This weekend, as I rediscovered myself as truly a chose and bless-ed daughter of God, I also rediscovered a quote that I really needed! Here it is:

“The homemaker has the ultimate career. All other careers exist for one purpose only – and that is to support this ultimate career.”   ~ C. S. Lewis

Believe it or not. I personally am a Believer. It was much needed epiphany as I have struggled with my self-image. Conor would fall apart completely without me and would not be as successful. Without homemakers and mothers in the home, I believe that this world would fall apart and Satan’s grasp would be much firmer if not absolute. At the end of the day, I see that I have made the most honourable choice. I have chosen to be a Wife, a Homemaker and a Mother. What could be more wonderful? Although my accomplishments go without praises, awards, plaques or trophies, they will resonate into the eternities. What greater joy could I ask for?

I totally agree. I would not have gone very far in life and been as happy without my Mother and my dear Catherine. Their homemaking has made my life like heaven on earth.
