When Liz and Kent were here, we went up to the Muirwoods. I love those redwoods! They are so beautiful. And there's something about them that always amazes me. I'm in awe of God's grand designs and the little details of nature. Incredible! It's always a treat to visit the Muirwoods (so long as it's a weekday - parking on the weekend is crazy!).

One big perk about having Liz around is that she's an amazing photographer and I know I'll get at least one decent shot of Conor and I. Hooray! Thanks for visiting Liz and Kent. I know it was a little crazy getting here but we're so glad you came!

I made another birthday banner for a friend. And I liked it so much that I may have to make a second the exact same for our family. I love how it turned out. The colors are simple and perfect.

I'm toying with the idea of making a pattern to sell of this bunting. We shall see.

When Liz and Kent were here, we scheduled a babysitter and headed up to San Francisco to meet them. We ate good food and went to the top of twin peaks at sunset and were rewarded with a spectacular view of the city as well as some of the craziest, cold winds ever! It was so beautiful!

For whatever reason, I thought the girls would be lukewarm about dyeing easter eggs. I was wrong! They totally loved it. It was a fun little activity to have them color on the eggs with white crayon and then dip them in dye. Holly had a nice color theory lesson when she wanted to dip one of her eggs repeatedly in different colors. It really is the little things...

We went to the beach this past weekend, and I'm so glad we did. We haven't been since Thanksgiving and that's too long! The weather was gorgeous and the beach was littered with seashells. There was a breeze but not enough of one to fly our pocket kite. It was a gorgeous day and we had so much fun playing together. The beach is our family's happy place. I think a small beach town further south would be the perfect "end place" for our family!
