So I made jam today. A lot of jam today. Raspberry, strawberry and raspberry-saskatoon berry mix. Whew! Everything is now all cleaned up and I’m listening to the last couple of lids pop! I’m hoping to be able to make bread tomorrow because what could be better than homemade bread and homemade jam?

On Thursday, after work, I drove out to Cardston to hang out with my grandparents. Lucky for me, the raspberries were ripe and ready for picking and so Granny and I nearly filled 2 ice cream buckets full of raspberries. There were a couple strawberries that took a little longer to ripen since the last picking so I also got 2 handfuls of the most delicious strawberries! And a zucchini and green beans to boot! I love going to my Granny’s house and being in her garden. We also were brave and went down into the coolies to find saskatoon berries. We came back to the house with scratch up legs and not much to show in the way of berries, partly because there weren’t that many and partly because I fell on my butt going down hill and tipped the bucket. Oops! Going to my grandparents house flooded my mind with so many wonderful memories of my sweet, sweet childhood. We were always having fun with my grandmother! I took some photos of her that in my mind’s eye represent so much of who Ruth LeRoux is. She always has the most interesting stories about this pet or that animal. Oh the fun we had!

This evening, I went for a walk with one of my favourite families in the whole world! Photographically speaking, I’ve really been favouring Cora lately. I commented to Nicole that most of my photos have been of Cora and not Freyja. I was relieved when Nicole stated it was the other way around for her. I’m glad we balance each other out!
Check the photos out!!

It sure didn’t feel anything like summer this morning causing me to add layers purely for warmth. This outfit is very wintery, but hey this is Calgary and anything goes in the summertime (including any of the 3 other seasons)!

I wore this outfit to most of church and then to the drug shop after church while I picked up cold medications for my on-the-verge-of-death husband.
Well, we all know how much I love giveaways. I’m a number one fan! I want to share this giveaway with everyone, but first off I just want to state that I can’t believe that this lady does so many giveaways. Each one of her posts is a giveaway! And it’s all super-duper cute! I would love to win something for one of my nieces. Head on over to Grosgrain to check out the current outfit… popcorn bloomers and blouse!
