Last weekend, we road-tripped ‘er on down to Albuquerque, NM for the annual Balloon Fiesta. It was such a fun little trip. I thought we’d have to stand off to the side and watch the balloons ascend from afar. Well, I couldn’t be more off the mark. We were among the balloons. Conor involved himself more heavily than most spectators as he jumped in and helped a fatal attempt at keeping a hot air balloon grounded on Saturday evening.
May I indulge you in some balloon photo goodness?
If that wasn’t enough Hot Air Balloon Loving for you, visit our gallery and make sure you stop by and watch the video I made.
What did I learn on this trip besides how to spell Albuquerque? Well, I learned that it gets cold at night and winter coats are required for the morning mass ascension (don’t worry, Holly was so toasty, she got a little heat rash!). I also learned that Mass Ascension = Mass Happiness.
Balloon Fiesta, we’ll see you next year!
