Okay! Soup’s in the crockpot (a McNeill tradition), bathroom has been thoroughly cleaned, kitchen is tidy, bedroom could use some work, vacuum still needs to be pulled out, but we’re in good shape. So why doesn’t it feel like Christmas? I’m not sure. For starts Conor is sick which is really quite horrible. One of the foremost rules of Christmas is to be healthy. Now I live in fear of getting the same thing he’s struggling with. I’m a little paranoid. Ha. I am glad I bought Clorox disinfecting bathroom cleaner that kills the flu virus (influenza A virus – Hong Kong). Hopefully it kills “brutal cold.” I am armed with lysol wipes, which I usually only use after dealing with raw chicken (I try to avoid bleach since I’ve ruined a fair share of shirts). We don’t have a tree, our decorations are rather meager and well it’s just us! So I guess we’ll just have to put on our most joyous Christmas faces and enjoy whatever spirit we can sap outta today and tomorrow! I can’t wait to have kids. I swear they’ll make Christmas real.
