This is my absolute favourite photo of my Maternal Grandmother. I’m so grateful to be named after her. This is soo my Granny, in the outdoors and still beautiful. I grew up walking through coolies with her and riding her horse and going to Waterton. Definitely an ideal childhood!

I think she’s wearing a corset and an underskirt.
Knowing her, I’d bet its a swim suit and a towel and she just got back to the tent from playing on the beach / in the water. The playing on the beach in the water is a genetic thing that all you kids share with your Mom and Granny, hence why we went to Shuswap Lake every summer.
Truly a ‘classic’ both your Granny and the photo! I especially like that the photo makes the viewer want to know more…

You’ve inspired me to dig through some of our old family photos next time I am home visiting.
