I’m Conor’s personal Barber. I’ve gotten much better over the year and a half that I’ve been trimming his hair (and sometimes full-out restyling it!). Want to know how I learned? When we bought the clippers they came with an old-school hair cutting dvd. I didn’t watch all of it, but I did watch the most relevant cuts and my mum cut Conor’s hair once so I could watch. After all of that superb training, Conor refused to have anyone else cut his hair but me! I guess sometimes the best way to learn is to jump in with both feet and not looking back… Yikes! And trust me, I’ve given Conor a couple haircut that say a little more than he or I would like them too!

Last night I gave Conor yet another cut (which turned out really great if I do say so myself) because neither of us wanted him going to California looking scruffy. I thought it was great to have him sitting still in a chair, unable to move, with nothing to do but listen to me chat his ear off! It was fabulous. Conor said that I have the hairdresser thing down in that department. Ha! Lesson: if you ever want your husband listening to you and only you (and not fiddling around on his computer) then cut his hair. If you’re anything like me, you’re getting faster, but not as quick as all those commercial girls! Perfecto!
