And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

I still sew. I promise. I've made Greta two dresses in the last couple weeks. And I'm working on an intricate quilt - it's all applique and a ton of it. I'm so glad I'm done with the cutting out and fusing. Currently, I'm really trying hard to sew through the fabric I already have. So I'll be making fall/winter dresses for Holly soon, because I have cord in my stash. Although I did order some new fabric for her birthday dress (she's TWO in two months!) and some pink (and orange and white) fabric for a dress for Greta because she can't wear all blue. I'm glad Greta is seasonally opposite from Holly. That allows me to sew for her without feeling excessive.

This dress is made from a vintage pattern Catherine's Aunt Bunny sent to me. Thank you Aunt Bunny! The applique was an afterthought and perhaps not the best one. What do you think?dress

I always seem to make a mess when I sew. Can you see one of the quilt blocks in the background? The quilt is going to be beautiful!sewing machine

how do you find time to sew? you are terrific! i love the retro patterns. i have quite a few, i’ll have to dig them out and send them to you if you like. the block for you quilt looks amazing… what a tease you are. I love the photo of holly holding all her friends - baby, monkey and baby-i’m-so-sick…are they all going to the park? i’m sure thats where holly wants to go.

Vintage rocks, plain and simple!  The applique is just right, and the little snippet of quilt looks VERY hard and Very pretty!
