Monstrosity

I finished my diaper bag and it’s HUGE. Conor and I have been referring to it as a monstrosity. I do not want to be the mom that carries every thing but the kitchen sink. This sucker came out big, much bigger than what the picture led me to believe. I guess we have a new beach bag/overnight bag… good thing I love the fabric and the bag overall. I’m now on the serious prowl for a suitable diaper bag although I’m thinking of just designing one the way I want it and sewing it up. Can I do it? We’ll see…

PS: this is the modern diaper bag from Amy Butler’s Little Stitches book.

I am sure you can Katie! You are looking great can’t wait to see Holly.  Love Aunt Bunny

It looks great… if it is too big perhaps you can reduce the pattern and make another that is more suited to the size you were thinking. I think you will find it handy.

I was going to say the same thing your mom said except in a less awesome way. But I don’t know anything about sizing things down so it may be harder than it seems.

I think it looks great!! You know a big bag that isn’t full to the brim is okay too! It could be a good church bag, toys, scriptures, diapers it’ll all fit! Love the fabric!

Katie

Today I sewed up 3 different mock bags and I think I got the one I want! Now I just need to pick out fabric…

Daria

It doesn’t look like a monstrosity from the picture, but if it’s too big you can always carry Holly in it too!! ROTFL Kind of like a baby sling.
