Conor and Katie the Newlyweds is a title that I feel no longer applies to us and hasn’t for a while. I recognize that it’s not a bad title however, I am absolutely positive that no one would call us newlyweds if we had a child to tack onto the Conor and Katie. Think about it, do you consider someone to be newlywed if they’re lugging around a baby even though they’ve only been married 9-10 months? No. It’s probably because they’ve visually consummated their marriage. Can’t we be just Conor and Katie and be accepted as such even though, no, especially since we don’t have children?

03 Jun, 2008People called me a newlywed for quite some time even though I had a kid the day I started my marriage. I still consider myself newlywed compared to the decades long or even eternal marriages out there. It is a relative term.
Being called a newlywed isn’t about acceptance it is a loving description and I can pretty much guarantee anyone calling you a newlywed has already accepted you entirely as Conor and Katie.
Borrowing from pop culture I think there was four seasons of the newlyweds show spread over 2.5 years

Don’t worry though I won’t call you a newlywed, I rather prefer Catalogue Katie /images/smileys/icon_smile.gif
