I get to give a talk in a week and half. I’m one of those people who loves to give talks! Love it! One of the best parts about bouncing around so much is that Conor and I have had a lot of opportunities to speak in the last 2 years. In the last 2 1/2 years, I’ve given 3 talks and this one will make 4!

My topic suits September and is… Education. I did a little bit of an “ugh” when the bishopbric member revealed to me this topic (of course he gave me the option to choose, but I’d like to think that there is some inspiration). As I’ve dipped my toes into the surface of this topic I feel calm about the whole thing. The scripture that I’ve decided my talk will revolve around is, “Seek learning, even by study and also by faith” (D&C 88:118). My insecurities with the topic of education lie solely in the push for formal education. I was laughing to Conor as I thought aloud about saying something along the lines of go to university or college (hypocrite) and then say unless you’re married in which case you should start a family (double hypocrite). Ha! Anyways, super stoked to prepare this talk!
