And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.

Yesterday, Conor and I hung our curtain rods and curtains. I'm completely in love with the hardware and so glad I waited until I found something that I completely love. Totally worth it! The rods are great quality too and they don't show any screws. Conor and I are getting better at working with our plaster walls. Unfortunately, every hole we make is permanent and drilled so everything needs to be rather calculated. Add to that texture walls and I'm sure you can understand my hesitance in hanging anything! We hung one frame last night in the dining room. I couldn't be more pleased. Hopefully next weekend we'll hang more frames! And hopefully I have the curtains hemmed by then too. Isn't privacy just so great?!

On the nursery front, I just have to hang frames (which I'm a little stumped about) and Conor and I decided that a roman shade would be more appropriate for the window than drapes, which means this week I'll be turning one of the panels (already made) into a roman shade! I think I'll use this tutorial. Do you think I should order a kit for the dowels, etc? And does anyone have any tips? I'm just about 36 weeks pregnant and I need to keep moving! I'm so close to being ready for Greta.

the curtains look great! I love the table cloth too! The map pic is right up my alley.

I have made many romans and I just get a 2x1/2” board for the top plate and the strip tape with the rings already fastened to make things go quickly add a couple eye ring screws across the underside for string guides and a Anchor on the window sill for tying up out of the way and your set!

Everything looks homey and ‘you’ . And the curtains turned out great! Did you make the tablecloth too?

Katie

No! I did not make the table cloth! I found it at Target and instantly snatched it up because it’s perfect.

Looks great Katie and so is Holly. She is just the cutest. She definately is growing bigger and bigger all the time. Enjoy her.

The pillow cases are very cute as well, did you make those too? where did you get the fabric?
