When I was in Calgary in August, I bought this great striped sweater dress from Joe Fresh. I had to get it for Greta, and it was so cheap (something like $16) and man oh man, I'm glad I did! Our weather is finally cooling down enough for long-sleeves. I've really been looking forward to putting this dress on Greta! The colors are perfect on her! I have a bad feeling that I'll only be able to have control over what she wears for a little bit longer. She's already developing an opinion, for example, her favorite way to dress is like an, "ina," or ballerina

I really like the photos of Greta and her bunny. Bunny is her lovie and she adores him. She has two of them and both of their noses are looking a little rough because she strokes the nose for comfort. It's quirky and hilarious. I can't want until she's old enough to enjoy the book, "The Velveteen Rabbit."

I love taking photos of Greta and Holly. Greta has some serious attachment to Holly. Every single joy school that Holly goes to where we don't host or stay to help, Greta has had a major melt down with nothing I can pinpoint it to. And this morning, Holly went with a friend to a farm (I'm too sick to take them both), and Greta lost it. She was completely beside herself and had me sobbing as well because I felt so bad. Conor and I are both concerned about when Holly starts school - that'll probably be really hard for Greta. But the positive flip side of all this is that my girls already have such a strong bond, maybe more so Greta to Holly than the other way around, but still. It makes me happy to know they love each other so much.

Holly is at a really funny age for taking photos. She has a lot of goofy faces and can tell me, "that's enough," when she gets sick of my camera in her face. So pretty much every photo I take of her is a little bit funny.

Holly loves this dress. It's a hand-me-down from a friend and I would've never guessed that Holly would like it so much! She's so picky! I try really hard to get her things I think she'll like, but she still doesn't like most of it. Insanity. I love Fridays because I get to dress her in whatever I want her to wear after ballet! We have major issues with clothing in our house, so whenever Holly will agree to wear anything not princess dress and isn't tacky, it's a good thing.

Guess what? I opened an Etsy shop - Lucky No. 7! I'm beyond nervous and excited! I've been toying with the idea of selling quilts for a while now and finally decided to take the plunge! Here's my desription of my shop:

I started my shop as a way to channel my inner creativity. I believe in making. I found that there's something so satisfying to have something tangible to show what's been accomplished in a day especially as a stay at home Mom.

My family has personally received so much comfort from the quilts I've made and other family members have made for us. Nothing says love quite like something handmade that can be wrapped around you like a hug. And I wanted to share that.

Donating this love to a child in need has been something on my mind lately. I would love for every child to have a sweet handmade blanket to be wrapped in. It didn't seem right to just open a shop without giving back. And so, for every 6 quilts, baby size or larger, that I sell, I will donate a seventh. Hence, the shop name, Lucky No.7.

Thank you for visiting. Thank you for your support.

I'm espcially excited about donating some quilts. I'm thinking I'll go through Project Linus. I also have some ideas swirlling around in my head - last night I was getting one out immediately after brushing my teeth.

I feel like I'm taking a huge risk here and I'm super nervous. What if they don't sell? I keep telling myself, that's ok, I'll have lots for gifts or to donate.

I know that it'll be Word of Mouth that makes the biggest difference to my success and so I would so appreciate anyone who shares my shop. Thank you!

This sensory bin is thanks to my creative idol, Natalia (miss you!!!). We love sensory bins! I love the imaginitive play that comes from them. Holly gathered all the erasers using her hands and tweezers and then went on to pretend to be Cinderella feeding the chickens. "Breakfast time, everybody up!" And yes, it made a big mess. But I took a deep breath and came to the conclusion that it was okay because I own a broom! Although I can never seem to get it all. I'm always finding grains of dyed rice! Haha!
