The nursery is just about done as is it's going to get! I'd like to add a few frames and a little coat rack and of course, there's the roman blind and the curtains to conceal the closet... but for the moment, it's done.

Overall, I'm really pleased with the room and if feels a lot more spacious than I originally anticipated. It's so fun to have a little girl's room!

The last two days, I've been worrying myself sick because Greta measured itty bitty at my ultrasound on Monday. Today, we had a follow-up ultrasound where absolutely everything was checked and Greta's totally fine! She weighs between 5 lbs 6oz and 5 lbs 11 oz, which puts her in about the 25th percentile. Turns out, I'm just packing her away really well. I find it incredible that my body can build another little body. It's amazing to see her little heart pumping and feel her squirm around. She's such a different baby from Holly, so much more active. And from the ultrasound pictures, it seems to me that she'll look quite different from Holly too. I think she has my nose - it's kind of bulbous looking when in newborn phase, poor girl. But, I love my nose now so I'll happily pass that onto my daughter. I think her lips may be fuller than Holly's. I'm just dying to meet her! I had gotten myself all excited about being induced this week. Let's just say, I got A LOT done these last two days!

Yesterday, Conor and I hung our curtain rods and curtains. I'm completely in love with the hardware and so glad I waited until I found something that I completely love. Totally worth it! The rods are great quality too and they don't show any screws. Conor and I are getting better at working with our plaster walls. Unfortunately, every hole we make is permanent and drilled so everything needs to be rather calculated. Add to that texture walls and I'm sure you can understand my hesitance in hanging anything! We hung one frame last night in the dining room. I couldn't be more pleased. Hopefully next weekend we'll hang more frames! And hopefully I have the curtains hemmed by then too. Isn't privacy just so great?!

On the nursery front, I just have to hang frames (which I'm a little stumped about) and Conor and I decided that a roman shade would be more appropriate for the window than drapes, which means this week I'll be turning one of the panels (already made) into a roman shade! I think I'll use this tutorial. Do you think I should order a kit for the dowels, etc? And does anyone have any tips? I'm just about 36 weeks pregnant and I need to keep moving! I'm so close to being ready for Greta.

I need to think of a more imaginative name for this quilt. But either way, it's done! I'm so happy with the quilting job. It's perfect. Yet another project that turned out better than I envisioned - love that! So now it's just a matter of organizing the guest bedroom, washing the bedding and deciding how I'd like to make the bed and we're ready to go! It's actually bigger of a job than it sounds. I'm hoping to tackle that early next week. My baby-birthing deadline is a real motivator.

Greta's quilt is complete, washed and ready for her! I love it when a project I'm working on keeps on looking better than I envisioned. Hand-quilting it was absolutely worth it. Last night, I finished the bumper pads for her crib and now I'm dying to get the crib set up and readied. The dressers for the nursery arrived yesterday (we went as cheap as we could go!), I have the rod for the curtains. Now it's just a matter of buckling down and completing a few things. It may be time for me to get comfortable with the drill.
