My baby is no longer a baby. She is a full-on toddler. I'm totally sad that she's getting bigger (she promised she'd be my baby forever!), but at the same time, it's a lot of fun! This past weekend we put her in a toddler bed for the first time and it went great. A surprisingly smooth transition. We had some difficulties with a couple of naps, but from then on out, we were smooth sailing. When she gets up, she pounds on the door and calls for her Daddy.

Holly's so excited about her new carpet and new room that she was stamping her foot with joy! Let the decorating and beautifying on a small budget begin!

Psst: don't you just love her accessorizing?
For Christmas, I made my parents a quilt and I made my brother, John, and his new wife, Allison, a quilt. I was quite pleased with how they both turned out! I would've happily kept John and Allison's quilt, especially. I'm quite smitten with it.

Holly's totally baby crazy and over Christmas she discovered swaddling. Anything can be swaddled with anything. She's swaddled with a short piece of paper garland! And dolls must be swaddled if one is to cuddle and rock them. Heaven forbid they become unswaddled! Conor and I have really enjoyed watching Holly care for her babies and we're on pins and needles in anticipation for Greta's arrival! It's going to be so much fun to see Holly with her very own, real-life baby.

One thing I really wanted to do to fix-up our bathroom was sand down the vanity and give it a fresh coat of paint. It looks great now!

Huge improvement, right? The paint colour is "Tilled Soil" by Martha Stewart. The knobs are from Anthropology. This spring, when I'm no longer pregnant, I plan on applying a coat of poly especially since Holly already put a minor scratch on the drawer.
