On Tuesday, I'll be 34 weeks. So far, this pregnancy has been much harder than my first. I won't go into the details. But I will say that I feel as though I'm in some ways back in my first trimester as I'm ultra-sensitive to smells and if I don't eat in a timely manner in the mornings then I'm nauseous for the rest of the day, among other things.

We're in for another cone-headed newborn. Greta's settling herself low into my pelvis and I'm beginning to feel more frequent grindings of her head or hands against my hip. She's an incredibly active baby especially in comparison to what Holly was like. More and more, I'm realizing how quiet Holly was on the inside. Greta seems to be a ball of fire and full of energy. We'll see if she's like that when she gets on the outside. I'm really excited to meet Greta and I'm looking forward to seeing how Holly is with her. Holly continues to be obsessed with babies and has even taken to swaddling and rocking everything. It'll be so fun!

2010 was a BIG year for us! We hit a lot of life milestones and loved it all. Last year we:

went to New York City, became pregnant for the second time, celebrated Holly's first birthday, bought our first home, and Conor finished his bachelor's of science.

Conor's parents visited us a couple times and my brother John came at the end of the summer. And we went to Calgary 3 times throughout the year. Below are my favourite 2 photos from the year.

What are your 2010 highlights?

We were having a bad day today. Luckily I know one thing that always cheers Holly up - the kitchenaid. She loves holding onto bowl's handle and peeking at what's mixing. By 8:45 this morning, we were mixing up some pudding! Don't worry, Holly only got to lick off the spatula and we saved eating the pudding for after lunch. Although, I think she got most of it all over herself and her tray rather than in her mouth!

PS: the bib is Messie Jessie's Big Mess. I have a few of them and LOVE them!

Our tree is all set up and decorated. I made a paper garland by sewing together one-inch circles. I love the felt snowflakes! I wanted to keep our tree really simple this year, bordering on under decorated and I achieved the look I wanted. We still need to take some family photos in front of the tree, but first we have to fix it up. Over the weekend Holly pulled it over. The garland is now all wonky and so are the lights. I was taking a nap during these exciting events, but apparently Holly got a time-out. I couldn't help but laugh when I came upstairs and heard the tale!

I've made many things for Holly's stocking. First, a book of colours.

Earlier this week, I finished making all the Christmas gifts I was going to make and then I bought something to make something else. When I got home, I laughed at myself!
