I love this dress! It's a Vogue Tracy Reese pattern and despite being "designer" it was super easy to sew up. I actually have a second one in a different fabric and once I finish up the 3 dresses I have waiting for me, I might make another one. I love it that much. I should've made it a size smaller but I just belted it. I might make a skinny belt from the same fabric, which would make it easier to wear. I love this dress so much that I may declare it my favourite sewing pattern.

When Holly wakes up from a nap, I often let her play in her bed for a little while. Every now and then, everything will go quiet and when I look up into the loft from the living room, I can see Holly peering down at me. As soon as I spot her she giggles and thinks she's the smartest thing ever. Conor and I joke that it's kind of creepy, but really, it's mostly cute.

Can you spot Holly?

Earlier this week, I had my last cooking class of the Cooking Essentials One series at Cook Street. Boy, was it ever good! We made an out of control Sunday dinner. Yummy! First Onion Panade (similar to french onion soup), then Beef Rib Roast au Jus, Gratin of Potato (with heavy cream), Haricots Verts with Tarragon-Almond Butter and for dessert, Crepes Suzette. Honestly, I felt sick the next day because the food was just that rich. But I did not regret it!

This was super easy to make and equally delicious. I have to make it soon!
The trick to making this so delicious was steeping the cream with herbs, and half an onion.
The crepes were seasoned with cinnamon and ginger and then topped with orange curd and caramel. Yum!
This is what I came home to. Holly cried all night and then finally fell asleep in Conor's arms.

Holly and I have talked about it and we'd like to switch to cloth diapers. Just kidding, she's had no part in the decision. But I do think she'll enjoy some benefits from wearing cloth diapers. So now the question is which diapers to choose? Do any of you use cloth diapers? Have you heard of any favourite brands from friends? Any tips, tricks, advice?

Please help to enlighten me. I'm leaning towards gDiapers and Gro Baby. I like the idea of a one size because then I don't really have to buy more and they'll work for baby #2. So now, my dear readers, what do you think?

PS: Weird how today's post is on Earth Day. Total coincidence. Or is it...?
