I’m beginning to be a blog failure. It’s almost like I’m mute, but in a finger-ly immobile way. So here it is folks, a speedy fast update on this life of mine.
I’m listening to JimmyEat World.
I got lost finding my way to work today. Airdrie. Small town, big mystery. Just kidding. I whipped out my freakishly sailor navigational skills and found my way despite 2 different sources of bogus directions. It’s all about the good intentions right?
I’ve been to the walk-in clinic twice in the past 6 days. Don’t ask. I’m a medicinally paranoid. Everything is perfectly fine.
I made a crock-pot meal today and didn’t get to eat it. Shucks.
I went to a Hitmen hockey game tonight with the man of my dreams and now feel slightly unwell because I ate a $4 hot dog instead of that hearty, healthy crock-pot meal that slow-roasted to perfection while I worked my butt off. The nachos aren’t helping either. And the sprite is an antagonist. Yes. Pop. I’ve drunk it recently. Someone slap my wrists and remind me why I stopped drinking pop in the first place. Please.
I do laundry a lot because I only own 2 pairs of scrub pants and one shirt. I got especially dirty today at work.
I’m wearing my husband’s sweat pants right now and they fit quite comfortably. Should I feel insecure?
I’m enjoying my job for the most part. I’ve discovered how social I can be and that I do have conversational skills deep down.
I want 2 Lululemon hoodies (different styles). I’d gladly settle for one of them, but I think Conor would heavily chastise me. No, I know he would. Timing, it’s all about timing.
I dream about playing field hockey this summer. That would be so lovely!
Well I don’t want to bore your socks off so I’ll stop there. Please direct any inquires, questions and comments to the comment box.
A word that I use to describe this dress is Romantic because of the colour, weight of the fabric and style in general. I had a lot of fun constructing this garment and was so excited to make it! I bought the pattern a while back because I had fallen in love with it and then spent a long while looking for the perfect fabric. I’m pleased with how the dress turned out! This was my Sunday!

PS: the pattern is Vogue 8411, view C with an altered sleeve.
This was my April ‘08 General Conference project that I started during the Saturday afternoon session and completed today. What do you think? It’s a gift for someone who visits my blog occasionally so I had better get it over there before it loses it’s surprise-ness. I am just too excited to share!

With my job, I follow the doctor around to different clinics. This morning, my services were enlisted and landed in Airdrie, however after an hour and a half of drive time and only making it as far as Anderson and Acadia I just had to call it quits! My car was getting a little over-heated and nothing was moving. Honestly I think it would’ve taken me 4 hours to get to Airdrie if I was lucky! I feel really bad about not going to work, but when I dropped by my mom’s office to use her phone and was finally off the roads for a minute I realized just how stressed and scared I was. This stupid snow storm caused hundreds of accidents, 16 causing injury and 189 causing property damage. Um hello! Not safe! I figure it’s way better that I went home and stayed safe rather than risked it although I’m probably a little bit of a scaredy-cat. But to be honest, I don’t get hugely frightened when it comes to winter driving. I try to be cautious and have had my initiatory experience feeling me capable in the snow (trust me, fish tailing on the overpass from Crowchild to Glenmore and accomplishing a sound recovering definitely adds a boost of confidence!), but today definitely racked my nerves! And then come 4 pm, it starts snowing AGAIN! But have no fear Calgary, it is supposed to be sizzling this weekend. Look forward to a very summery CK!
Okay, I’m sure my fans are on the edges of their seats waiting for an update on my life or a goofy story or just something! Or at least I hope that’s the case! Well, today was my second day of work and so far so good. It’s nothing to bounce of the walls about but I’m fitting in okay and catching on alright. My body is achey from standing up all day… hopefully my body becomes stronger and the pain less apparent. I think I need orthotics. Ha. That’s that!
