Does time apart make the heart fonder or lonely? I personally say BOTH. Here’s my story… I was in Calgary for 10 days, got home Thursday. Conor stayed in Ft. Collins from Friday to Saturday. And then today he’ll be in Colorado Springs until tomorrow night and then back there Wednesday afternoon until Saturday. Fonder and more lonely is the appropriate answer. All in all I am generally okay with it, but I might change my mind when I’m feeling sleep deprived. We figure it’s the last leg and perhaps we need to sacrifice a little. It bites the dust, however it’s doable. We definitely won’t argue for our first anniversary! Ha!
Well here I am. Back in Colorado. Hanging out as usual. Last night I was up until 6 AM reading the seventh Harry Potter book. I’m proud to say I finished it in one night. And one of the biggest reasons I did so is because Conor wasn’t here. He is still in Ft. Collins and doing superbly well. I miss him. It was like cruel and unusual form of torture to be with him a night and then not the next. Oh well. It all works out I guess! I was going to super clean today but obviously that plan was slightly dashed by the read all night idea that I had. Ha!
It was nice to be in Calgary! Miss you all!
I was curious as to how often I really do blog. If you consider this a post, this is the 16th for the month of July. I posted 15 blogs in June and the total for May was… 9, but my first post wasn’t until May 13. So pretty good. Just a slice of interesting info for you all! Thus far, I have been faithfull to my blogsite. May it continue for years to come!

Here I am. Avoiding bedtime as usual. It’s like my favourite past time. I’ve been enjoying my time here in CalGAry. Don’t you love the way uncalgarians say Calgary? Occassionally when I’m feeling proper I will pronounce each syllable. But Hello, how often is that!
At Costco, this evening, I picked up a set of 4 small books in a series called “Style To Go.” Included is Bed & Bath, Storage, Decorating and Kitchens. I’ve been doing my best to delve into the wrold of home decor and what not. I find myself quite enthused about the whole thing! I hope we can paint our apartment. So far, some of my storage solutions are, I mean the only one is: raising our bed and storing crap underneath it. I’ll make a bed skirt, etc. Hopefully that’ll work. And Conor’s solution is to leave all our childhood favs behind at the Folks! I’m liking that one although that one probably won’t be greeted with willingness after the Muirheads have had their garage stuffed with every earthly posession Conor and I own. We shall see. Perhaps this will help to chip away at the ice of the idea. I’m desperate for fabulous, life saving ideas! Please feed me ideas!

It sure has been nice to see my nieces and nephews! There is nothing better than my little guy, Evan, running into my arms as he shouts most excitedly, “Katie!” Or to have my little crush blush give me a shy smile when he sees me. Or to see Cora walk and talk! She even said my name… and smiles at me. Way better than playing strange! Or to have Freyja give me at least 4 hugs as I left Nana’s house. And then to have her run on the sidewalk parallel to my car yelling, “Bye Katie!” Despite the frequent tears and the loud voices, I simply ADORE my neices and nephews. I love that they love me. When driving home from an evening of boating, I had Evan and Vienna on either side of me both trying to secure my attention. Vienna tapping my shoulder repeatedly, and Evan reverberating my name over and over. It’s fabulous! The strangest part is that by the time Conor and I are finished with the Art Institute, Dylan will be driving AND dating, all of the Muirhead boys will be school boys, Freyja and Evan will also be in school full-time. Cora will become more of herself and Vienna will be breaking hearts! It’s insane. Plus Seger! And whatever other munchkins come along. I sure will miss those little pals of mine!
