Yesterday Conor and I put down a deposit on a really cute little apartment. It’s in the south east side of Denver. Our front door faces west, giving us a slight view of the mountains, and it overlooks a little lake. I am very excited about it! Hopefully everything is approved and what not and that it is possible to move in. We’re still in the middle of contemplating what furniture should stay or go and have made a couple offers. I’m really excited to downsize and eliminate some of our “stuff” to be honest, but also really excited about moving and what not. I have a ton of little ideas poking around in my head! I can’t believe we’re actually moving here. It seems so incredibly surreal. I never ever thought that I would live anywhere else but Calgary! I must admit it is an exciting adventure. I’m a little nervous about the ward. It seems too posh and so as vain as this sounds, I feel like I need nicer, more “grown-up” clothing. Hopefully I can spend a lot of time sewing at my mother-in-law’s house! I really should just sew myself a blazer… and maybe even a winter jacket. I know I can do it! First, I’m definitely recovering our love seat. Man I hope we get to come home soon!
As of yesterday, Conor and I have been married for one entire year! Can you believe that it was one year ago…? What fun! Saturday night, we went to the Olive Garden – delicious! It was so fun to see each other especially after Conor was gone for so long. I missed him so much too! I was just so happy to be with Conor. For Conor’s anniversary gift, I made him a scrapbook listing a bunch of the things I love about him. He put together this really cute, fun card! I loved it!
Yesterday, we made a great dinner – ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. Yummy! It was really nice. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the time that I got to spend with the husband this weekend and even gladder that we could celebrate such a wonderful milestone! I can’t wait for the second one!

Today was spa day. What a wonderful, tranquil, peaceful, blissful, lovely, enjoyable, fabulous, relaxing day! Us “office girls” (Ari, Leah, Michelle and myself) spent a day in downtown Denver (Cherry Creek to be precise). First we went to the rain spa and got pedicures and facials. Oh my goodness! I have never had a facial before but I’m pretty sure that I could easily become a slave to them. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt so wonderful and relaxed before. Or so pampered. It was fabulous. And the pedicure (I did just get one) was great! We went to a massage place to get full body massages. That was alright. I’m not the hugest massage person and the therapist pointed out a varicose vein on the back of my knee that I’ve had as long as I can remember. Oh well! Afterwards we went to this really great indian restaurant. We sat in a little booth on pillows. Oh so good! It was nice for us girls just because the office is always crazy or hellish and something is always going wrong; therefore we find ourselves stressed and ornery. It was great to have a girls day and be friends! We didn’t have to worry about a thing… not even how much the whole thing cost! FABULOUS!
Saturday is Spa Day. Woo hoo!

Well right now let’s just say I hate Colorado and I hate being alone.
