I have a newest favourite “app.” It’s called Organize Gourmet. I love it because… it’s a program that I can put all of my recipes into and then I can display the recipe on the computer screen. I can easily search through my recipes. I quite enjoy it. It’s a $20 program and a part if not all of that goes towards fighting world hunger in some organized way. The only rough part about it is imputing all of the recipes. That is HUGELY time consuming!!

Denver, Colorado has the most incredible electric storms I’ve ever seen. The shows are practically daily. It’s incredible. I love it. Wednesday night, Conor and I went for a walk after dark. In the east it almost looked like a war movie. Light was always flashing. It wasn’t fork lightning either; it was sheet lightning and would light up the sky. It was lightning after lightning! And sometimes quite a bit at the same time. I absolutely loved it. Especially that blush-tint it gave to the sky. The storms that happen here are spectacular and even better is that they bring cooler weather.

Okay this is going to be a weird blog. But funny, I promise. Conor has decided that cloth diapers are probably the most inexpensive route to go for when we have kids, which is important since we’re poor and by the time a baby comes along we’ll be even poor-er. So like I said, Conor came up with this fabulous idea to put our babies in cloth diapers. Oh how quickly he neglects that it’ll be I doing laundry every day cleaning up the nasty diapers so that they may be reusable. It’ll be I changing most of the diapers since he’s the “I’m sensitive to smell and will vomit” king. Ha! And then he comes up with the thought that it’ll be motivation for us to potty-train our kids, you know so we don’t have to change cloth diapers! Ha. Unfortunately kids like to do those things on their own schedules (just ask Liz). I will proudly state that I was potty-trained before the age of 2. Not at like one and half or anything drastic like that, but reasonably “early.” I totally think that cloth diapers is a great money-saving idea however it’s GOT to be natural for me to have reservations about it! I picture swirling a poopy bit of clothe around in the toilet as a pre-rinse. That in no way seems glamorous to me. Nope. That’s definitely not something a glam mum does. However, we shall cross that bridge when we get to it. And yes, Conor will change diapers… lots and lots of diapers. Just kidding, he’ll do it willingly I’m sure!!

Finally a post!! We are without the internet as our dear friends, Marc and Ari Ostler, hit the road back to Utah! We’re excited that they don’t have to be here anymore, but it was still hard to see them go :( . Conor and I have since been… surviving. I’ll be glad for the day that this is officially all over and we’re in our own little apartment with all of our stuff crammed in there too. I’m really hoping to make a friend. Just like a good girlfriend that I can hang out with, shop with, enjoy enrichment with, etc. I need a good friend. My last one was Hayley Mullen. She still is a fab friend, however distance is an issue. I feel like I haven’t had a good girlfriend since high school and even then in my last year I was so busy dating, etc. It would just be really nice. I have my hopes! As far as I could tell the ward wasn’t too hopeful, but really I should slap myself on my wrist and shake my head! My first couple of Sundays at Bow Valley were hard, but in the end I fell in love with the ward and everyone in it. So… that’s definitely a factor I need to remember.
It’ll be so fun to live here! Ah! Downtown Denver has a 16 Ave Mall which is exactly what it sounds like – a street of stores and restaurants. I’m excited to do my best to ride my bike everywhere to conserve gas. Not to mention to finally have a schedule to live by. Hallelujah! I am definitely the type that feels best when on a schedule. And I’ll start exercising hardcore and just enjoy being fancy-free (to some extent). Anyways… that’s me today! Today I’m thrilled for change and have taken the “plunge” in a couple different ways. Tomorrow I might fear change with all my heart and soul. For now… I’ll just hang on tightly to today!

I don’t mean to be whiney, but sometimes it’s just gotta happen! Well it’s yet another sleepless night. Yes another one. It’s just one after another. I don’t know what’s wrong with me! All I want to do in the day is sleep sleep SLEEP! Today I didn’t take a nap or anything. Well I accidently fell asleep for 20 minutes or something so that doesn’t count. And I’m pretty sure I’ve lost more weight. I probably have a pet tape worm or something disgusting. I don’t even know what to do. I feel yucky and tired and sore all the time and I’m not even pregnant! I feel ripped off! AND I am so trunky! I just want to get out of here OR get into our new place with all of our homey stuff. I am also desperate to pay a visit to a doctor. All this weird stuff my body does seem normal to me, however when I ponder upon it I realize that something is wrong, but then so quickly I get discouraged! I have a history of spontaneously losing weight. It’s happened all my life. And I’m always tired. I black out at least once a day, lately nearly every time I stand up. Tell me that’s not right! And the worst part is that this is nothing new. Oh well! The Millennium right? That’ll be my time to shine! Anyways… this isn’t a plea for attention. Just a need to vent since Conor is asleep.
