But seriously, I have a couple of really cute babies! E liked the water and even more, he liked crawling on the dock! Little dare devil.

Chess... lots of chess games on our vacation! Maeve learned all the names of the pieces and how to move them. She really puts a lot of imagination into it!

We spent 5 nights out at Loon Lake, just north of Spokane and it was really nice! It was a pretty chill vacation with lots of TV, treats, swimming, chess and sleeping in. I'm glad my big girls are strong swimmers and that Maeve is happy to wear her life jacket. That was really convenient in terms of balancing babies and older kids. Conor and I took turns playing and it all worked out really well!

The lake was so warm... almost too warm. Our hosts were delightful and friendly. We had a great time!

For our 4th of July, we spent the weekend with some of our oldest friends. We've known the Blodgetts for 14 years. We had an awesome weekend filled with treats, swimming, playtime, movies, late nights and babies. I came home feeling really grateful for long standing relationships and looking forward to more fun memories! The kids all got along so well and they played so hard!

Conor starts his new job on July 1st. We took advantage of his last full week of no work (and no planned activities for the kids) and planned a little staycation. With babies and a 4 year old, we can't go hard every day, so we did a MWF staycation. We spent two days at Hayden Lake and one day at Deer Lake (with friends). The weather was hot enough that I wanted to get in the water, but not as hot as this week is. We had so much fun! I love watching Maeve swim around in her life jacket chatting to anyone nearby. She's a cutie. I have so many fond memories of playing in the lake as a kid, I love seeing my children enjoy the water. It's fun to play!
