“Treehouse”

Look who's here! Our sweet baby, Treehouse, now named Ira, was born in the morning on Sunday, March 7. We're all thrilled that he's here! It was a challenging delivery and I feel really proud of myself. Ira was a little surprised to be born and his face had some bruising. We had a couple post-delivery hiccups, but everyone was fine in the end. We sure love this little guy! Having four kiddos at home made having a baby and a mom in the hospital a bit of a balancing act. Fortunately, I was able to spend only one night at the hospital and Conor was able to spend that night at home with our older children. Here are some photos of my son, Ira, from our stay at the hospital.

It's really getting real over here! Baby Treehouse's birth is fast approaching which means I really need to complete some tasks like packing my hospital bag and packing up some things for the kids. Wow, we're going to have 5 children in our house!

I asked Conor to take pictures of my glorious belly. Gosh, there's a baby in there and he's getting bigger each day. This has been my hardest pregnancy. Treehouse is my most active baby! I'm excited to see what he looks like and what his lil personality is like!

I'm definitely on the other side of this pregnancy. I'm thankful for that and also panicking a little because this baby boy doesn't seem quite real! In the new year I'm going to do some intentional nesting to hopefully help get my mind ready for having a baby. Generally, I'm sore and uncomfortable. This has been a really hard pregnancy and it seems that the hard isn't letting up. Treehouse is transverse and has been for as long as I've been able to identify body parts and hiccups. This makes me a little anxious. I hope he turns in the next few weeks. My hips and pelvis and thoracic spine are so sore all the time. I think I would feel better physically if he were to move to a head down position, but who knows? He's happy, healthy and busy in my stomach. I'm very curious about this little guy and what he'll look like and what his personality will be like. Really praying I can make it through these last weeks with some amount of grace!

Thinking I should continue to document this pregnancy somewhat so here I am, 23.5 weeks with baby #4! This definitely hasn't been my easiest pregnancy, nevertheless time is flying by!

Some photos of me at 17 weeks, 3 days. I'm now at 20, weeks, 3 days and getting bigger and bigger every day! I still can't believe we're adding another little one to our family. It's so surreal. I can't wait to meet him and see what he looks like!
