“Yahk”

Just some photos of us hanging around outdoors. Conor and I had an exchange about how wonderful the relaxed vibe is. That no one is hurrying and everyone is just there. We left Holly and Greta in Yahk with my parents for the rest of the week and they had a great time! Loving my children is my love language.

One last summertime trip to Yahk. Gosh, I love visiting my parents! I love these trips because they are so relaxing and good, ya know? There's just nothing to distract from the relationships. I could play cribbage with my parents all night long! We swam in the river and it was idyllic. Thanks for having us out Mom and Dad! Love you!

We went back to Yahk for a weekend to drop Holly and Greta off for kidcation. We played pretty hard when we were there. We went to Kootenay Lake twice and we found a hike to go on. My sister and her family were out there too so there was lots of cousin bonding and laughs. And Chef Blakey fed us all like kings!

We took a quick little trip out to Yahk to visit my parents. Of course the weather wasn't great, but we made the best of it! We went to the farmer's market and swam in the community pool, which is a pretty great pool! We discovered just how much Maeve loves the water. She floated around in her puddle jumper the whole time and had a bit of a fit when it was time to get out. It was lots of fun! We loved soaking up my parents for a couple of days. We wrapped up the short trip with ice cream from Two Scoop Steve's.

I really love swimming in a cold river on a hot day. I kind of like that shock to the body! This is such a good little spot to swim and it's deep enough to jump in. I was SO proud of my brave girl Holly for giving it a go! She jumped in once and then did it again immediately. And then went another time before we left! I also want to remember how generous and kind my children were on this day. They are great kids!
