One perk of 11:30am church is the lesiurely morning that leads up to it. Sometimes I even curl my hair! The girls are typically impatient to put on their Sunday dresses or do something since we typically have a fairly full schedule especially in the mornings. I love that I can sleep until I have to get up and make pancakes if I want to. On this peticular morning, Holly and Greta were playing on my bed and I wanted to capture them. I'm grateful I have a camera and am able to preserve memories. I'm grateful for my beautiful daughters.

I made this sundress (simplicity 2375) for Greta about a year ago, but it was too big. But now it fits! And I love it! This fabric has to be one of my favorites ever! Greta is wild about dresses these days. She wears one almost every single day. And I'm totally cool with that. I love seeing her chubby toddler legs peek out from under a dress. It won't be long before her baby chubs melts away entirely! Seriously freaking out over the growth of this little girl. Slow down!

I know it's not Easter anymore, but I promise this was hanging in our house at Easter time and it's still hanging because it's one of my favorite crafts. In fact, we did it last year too. I don't think it's super Easter specific, more spring specific. And for my Canadian friends and family who are just barely seeing spring now, it may be an appropriate craft. We'll likely do this craft every spring (I love it that much!). Greta was old enough to help out this year. I really like having my girls paint the q-tips. The clean-up is just that much easier. Some of the bunnies' ears aren't painted and Greta had a little panic attach over that. She a little more peticular, for example the door mat must always be straight and orderly. Anyways, I just love these cute little bunnies so much and it makes me happy to still have this garland hanging! You can find the tutorial and free printable here.

It feels like it's been a while since I've made a dress or a skirt for myself and I've been itching for something new to wear on Sundays. I used a favorite pattern - this skirt was the fourth time I've sewn it up! Might be time to venture to something new. I used a different weight of fabric, a cotton lawn, and because it flows differently from the other fabrics I've used, the skirt does feel different. I love that it's nice and lightweight and I'll love it even more as the days get warmer! I used to hate cobalt blue, but now I really like it! People change!

Just a few photos of Holly with her Nana and Papa Jim. Holly's our little hostess and she lights up the room. I'm so very grateful she's ours. She's a stunner!
