I still craft too. A little. I'm more of a seamtress than a crafter. I love felt flowers. They're relatively easy to make and it's nice to complete something every once in a while especially since I'm cleaning up toys only to have them immediately dumped out again. Seriously. Holly doesn't even really play with them. She just really likes everything to be messy.
Greta has the teeniest feet. Much too small for size one or 0-3 month shoes I'm afraid. Newborn sized shoes are still too big on her. I don't think her feet have grown since she was born. They just became a little more fatty. Greta is always sucking on her hands. Her fists are typically both at her mouth and she can often be heard slurping away on them. She's not much of a soother girl. I think as soon as she gets the coordination to suck on a finger or thumb she'll be doing it without any regrets. If she wiggles an arm out of her swaddle durings naps or the night, it doesn't bother her or wake her up. In fact, she sleeps quite well with her hands up at her face.
I still sew. I promise. I've made Greta two dresses in the last couple weeks. And I'm working on an intricate quilt - it's all applique and a ton of it. I'm so glad I'm done with the cutting out and fusing. Currently, I'm really trying hard to sew through the fabric I already have. So I'll be making fall/winter dresses for Holly soon, because I have cord in my stash. Although I did order some new fabric for her birthday dress (she's TWO in two months!) and some pink (and orange and white) fabric for a dress for Greta because she can't wear all blue. I'm glad Greta is seasonally opposite from Holly. That allows me to sew for her without feeling excessive.
I love my girls!
Sunday was my day and I loved it. Conor worked so, so hard to make it a perfect day. He made breakfast, supper and dessert - all of which were so impressive. AND Conor did all of the dishes. I got to relax all day long. I loved cuddling my sweet Greta while I read a book. It was a wonderful day! I felt so appreciated. Conor gave me a gorgeous Acacia salad bowl with a matching serving set, and my in-laws gave me 8 little salad bowls to match. So perfect. I was sad to go to bed that night, I wish the day could've been longer!
