I started sewing for spring and summer and then Denver received a load of snow so I reverted to wool herringbone that I had on hand and the pattern, lining, notions, etc that I also had stashed. I think the dress turned out super cute and I’m glad I took the time to sew ‘er up.
But I couldn’t be more ready for spring! I bought a handful of patterns this past weekend and am ready to sew my hands off. So ready for colour and florals.
Tell me, what are you looking forward to the most about spring?
I made Holly a second pettiskirt. This one is waaaaay fuller than the first one, but both skirts are cute. I just can’t get enough of this little girl. She is adorable. I feel like the pride in my chest could bust me open any second. I love my Holly girl!
And Holly continues to really dig her toes. I think it’s yucky and cute all at the same time.
Even though Holly’s teething and can be a bit of a monster between 6:30 and 8:30pm and even though she cries when I leave her sight, I find myself loving and adoring her more and more with each day. My favourite thing to do is peek in on her at night before I go to bed because she’s the cutest sleeper I ever did see. I’m hopeful that I’ll always be able to love her the same way she loves me right now; unconditionally. Nothing beats a baby’s love.
PS: Holly is not sucking on her thumb in this picture. Hallelujah she is not a thumb sucker.
Holly has discovered her toes. She has always loved it when I’ve dipped them into her mouth during diaper changes, but now she can get those suckers herself. She’s pretty much to die for all together.
And I just love this series of 3 photos:
Hello! Today’s the day for me to share some photos of our Living Room. I made the curtains and pillow covers. Whew! What an amount of work! Our loveseat is from the Corona collection at Macy’s. We bought the couch off of craigslist but first we went to our local Macy’s Furniture to test ‘er out. Who doesn’t love a good deal? And our slipper chairs are from Target. They’re super comfy and I’m really happy with them. The fabric that I used for the curtains and pillows is Joel Dewberry’s Ginseng collection and I bought it off of Etsy for no more than $7 a yard. Some of it was only $5 a yard. Boo ya! (Many thanks to our interior design friend, Lisa Jensen, for the consults).
Do you like our re-designed living room as much as I do?
