You know what could possibly make cleaning house fun? A pink vacuum cleaner! Here’s your chance to win a Dyson vacuum cleaner in pink (if you want to buy one $40 from each purchase will help fight breast cancer… can’t go wrong there), visit 5 Minutes for Mom and leave a comment. Yup that easy! Good luck (and I mean that as in bad luck because I want all the good luck)!
My cousin Delaine gave birth to one of the most beautiful baby girls Saturday morning. She is so tiny and so sweet. She is such an alert baby, already looking around and grasping our fingers. I swear she makes eye contact! I love her so much! Here are some black and whites I took of her last night….

Congratulations Dave and Delaine! She is perfectly precious!
I had my last two wisdom teeth extracted yesterday! Yes, I know it was a Sunday, but I know this really great dentist who happens to also be Conor’s brother and he has a really awesome assistant who happens to be his wife!
I came to the point where my mouth hurt so bad that I could hardly open it. I was in so much pain on the one side that I really thought death was looming. I had an appointment already, but Awesome Nathan was so willing to have us come down to Lethbridge totally last minute after he had already phoned in a prescription! It was a bit of an… uncomfortable experience, however I had the best team any girl could ask for. The one side that was causing me all the pain hardly hurts today. It’s the other side that got chiseled away at that’s given me grief and swelling. Oh ya, and it took a while for the numbing to set on the side that was without a peeking tooth. But no fear, Nate froze me up so well that my eyelid to my ear to my chin was frozen! Nathan is the best dentist! There was a reason why the other dentist didn’t cherry pick my top wisdom teeth when he popped out my bottoms. I was so glad to be under Nathan’s care because no matter how nervous I was, I knew I could totally and completely trust him. Oh, I also got my first stitches last night, 3 to be precise.
And to top it all off when we arrived back at Daria and Nathan’s house, I was treated like a queen! I just can’t say Thank-you enough! Those Muirheads are the best!
I’m really not feeling well. I think I have some sort of flu where food makes me feel nauseated and sometimes the thought of it will do the same thing. Ginger ale has been my tonic water and although it might not be helping physically, it’s helping mentally. I feel exhausted due to my lack of nutrition and whatever else. My stomach aches always. And so, today became a chick flick day. This morning, I watched 27 Dresses and The Devil Wears Prada while I did some handquilting on my quilt. An update on that is that I haven’t picked it up in a while so maybe being ill is a good thing? It takes about 3-4 hours to quilt one 18-inch hoop circle. This baby will be priceless when it’s done and I’m only a little bit more than halfway done quilting!
What movie shall I watch now?
I love mail. My favourite piece of mail is yet to come – my interview date for a greencard. But today, more than mail came; a whole package came! Inside was a delightful book that I had recently won from a blog, LindaMade. Oooh! I was excited! The book is titled Complete Embellishing and the author is Kayte Terry. It’s a signed copy addressed to me and everything! My mind is racing as I piece together all the possibilities!
