“Thanksgiving”

Our yearly tradition - chocolate making! These are all the photos I took. But we did it! We spent a whole afternoon making chocolates.

That yearly tradition! Although this year, I made the pancakes on Wednesday which really through my kids for a loop! That was an adjustment. I didn't want to add that into Thursday morning turkey trot and meal prep, which was smart because I ended up with a sinus infection.

What a day! I love Thanksgiving. We started our day off with turkey pancakes (tradition) and the Turkey Trot at Manito Park. And then it was time to get the turkey on the grill and do a little bit of prep. Smoking the turkey has been a game changer for me, it frees up the oven and it tastes so good!

Having so many people I love and care about in my home and around me too-small table was so, so special. What a year we've had!

Good news! Conor's parents were able to join us for Thanksgiving! This is a really fun tradition we've established over the last few years and we were so happy to revive it. Two years have past since the last time Catherine and Jim were in our home. We went to the local Turkey Trot and ate a delicious dinner. Seriously, so yummy! Conor cooked the turkey on the Traeger.

I really like Thanksgiving. I love the extra long weekend and the yummy food. For the last three Thanksgivings, Conor's parents have come to visit us and we really missed them this year! But, we made the best of our quiet time together as a family and it was amazing. We worked together and we played together. We had a family movie night (our girls' favorite activity!). Conor and I went for walks and worked out together. Holly led a Thanksgiving craft and everyone pitched in when it came to prepping for dinner. Gosh, I love my family!
