“Vacation”
For our 4th of July, we spent the weekend with some of our oldest friends. We've known the Blodgetts for 14 years. We had an awesome weekend filled with treats, swimming, playtime, movies, late nights and babies. I came home feeling really grateful for long standing relationships and looking forward to more fun memories! The kids all got along so well and they played so hard!

Staycation
Conor starts his new job on July 1st. We took advantage of his last full week of no work (and no planned activities for the kids) and planned a little staycation. With babies and a 4 year old, we can't go hard every day, so we did a MWF staycation. We spent two days at Hayden Lake and one day at Deer Lake (with friends). The weather was hot enough that I wanted to get in the water, but not as hot as this week is. We had so much fun! I love watching Maeve swim around in her life jacket chatting to anyone nearby. She's a cutie. I have so many fond memories of playing in the lake as a kid, I love seeing my children enjoy the water. It's fun to play!

Chess
At a nearby park, we came across a massive chess set. Chess has become something of an obsession for some of our family members recently so this was quite an exciting discovery. Greta and I played a round of speed chess. Girl kicked my butt!
The second little hike we did was the Weatherwax Trail, only 10 minutes away from the place we stayed at. It was a nice flat, 1.2 mile loop, with lots of big, fat mosquitos. We really tried to do bite sized activities for the kids (Maeve) on this trip and that was pretty effective!

North Jetty
This was a fun little climbing exercise and happily no one was hurt! It took 9 years to build this jetty. I'm not sure how far it extended, the mist obscured the end of it. Because the jetty, the beaches have collected sand. The boulders were huge!
